Banksia Protea

Banksia protea are a more unusual genus of protea, with distinctive flower cones.  Good examples may be found in botanical gardens.  They grow to be substantial sized trees and shrubs.  Banksia are originally from Australia.  For more information on Australian Protea plants, please see:  http://australianproteaplants.blogspot.com/
